These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Manga Downloader (the “Service”), a tool that helps you fetch chapter lists and download images from publicly accessible manga / manhwa / webtoon pages for personal use.

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Nature of the Service

The Service is provided primarily as a local / self-hosted utility. It scrapes or calls public page APIs that you point it at, and writes image files to a folder you choose. Features that depend on your machine (folder picker, disk writes, browser automation) may only work when you run the backend yourself.

3. Personal use & copyright

• You may use the Service only for personal, non-commercial purposes unless you have a separate license from the rights holder.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that downloading or storing content is lawful in your jurisdiction and permitted by the source site’s terms.
• We do not host, sell, or redistribute copyrighted manga content. The Service does not grant you any rights in third-party works.
• Do not use the Service to infringe copyrights, bypass paid/DRM walls, or overload third-party servers.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose;
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service or third-party sites beyond ordinary personal browsing/download rates;
• Use automated bulk scraping in a way that harms site operators;
• Misrepresent the Service as an official client of any manga platform.

5. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, availability, or accuracy of scraped data. Sites change their HTML often; scrapers may break without notice.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the authors and operators of the Service are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.

7. Third-party sites

Links to and data from third-party websites (for example MangaDex, Webtoons, Madara-based sites) are subject to those sites’ own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or availability.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we publish a revision.
